A brief review was held as to current activities such as the warranty work by Lennar on the roofs and buildings in general.
Ed Plummer held a discussion on the elevator carpets and the best approach to take regarding flexibility with multiple carpet pieces that can be exchanged when needed. The consensus was to go with the AJ Carpets proposal using the four ;ieces of carpet with hold down strips entering the elevators.
A discussion about there being no floor pads in the 13891 building on the garage level outside the entry door or elevator. Ed indicated these will be purchased and installed.
A lengthy discussion regarding installing window covering for the south stairwells in both buildings. Any shades would be required to be fire retardant, window covering that would reflect the sun rays would be expensive for the benefit. The consensus at t6he time was to table this issue and revisit at a later time due to many other projects needing closer attention.
A request to keep the lamps in the lobbies on the credenzas turned on to improve the abiance was presented. Since the CFL bulbs have been istalled, it was agreed that timers could be added so the lights would be off during daylight hours and on during evening hours. Lil Sheats and George Field indicated they had timers that were available.
The chandelier lampshades in each lobby were discussed and it was agreed to present at the general board meeting the question as to whether to purchase lampshades or to refrain all together. It was noted that current decorating trend is to have bare chandelier bulbs.
A brief discussion regarding condo insurance issues and the possibility of having an agent present at a board meeting to discuss general needs and perceptions.
Ed McEnroe pointed out the tree on the front of 13891 to the right of the walkway facing the building should be replaced. The tree has not fared well since initially installed. Lasting Impressions indicated the tree was satisfactory. It was agreed the tree does not look favorable when compared to the one across the walkway.
A request to have J&B cleaners pay closer attention to the elevator thresholds was presented.
Also, a request to have the trash rooms looked at and possibly repainted and the floors cleaned.
Respectfully submitted,
George Field
